I have a Crosman AIR 17 BB/Pellet rifle..It's a M16 replica made back in the mid 80s. I want to mount a scope but the gun has a top handle similar to the M16. Crosman offered a scope and mount back then but I didn't buy one. Tried to find one on line now but very rare and none for sale. The word 'picatinny' came up in my search and lead me to your site. I purchased this item and it fit the BB gun perfectly after I drilled a small hole in the handle. The rings on the scope were too small to fit the rail so I took them off and it fit very nicely on the rail without rings. I taped it on for now until I can find rings that will fit. Don"t laugh about the taping-the rifle only has an accurate range of about 35 feet so the scope is stable enough for target shooting. The rifle looks great with a scope. This model was only made by Crosman for a few years. They received flack about it looking "too real" so they stopped making it. Your site helped me solve a problem. Thanks.
